Pasteles , originally uploaded by Buendia Productions.
Cuchifritos (koo-chee-free-tohs) :refers to various fried foods prepared principally for a quick eat, in Puerto Rican and Dominican cuisine. They include a variety of dishes including but not limited to bacalaitos (cod fish empanadas), morcilla (sausage), rellenas de papas (fried mashed potato stuffed with chopped and seasoned meat), chicharron (fried pork rind), and various other quick usually fried snacks. Cuchifritos vendors also typically serve juices and drinks such as passion fruit, pineapple, limeade and coconut juice/milk, as well as ajonjolĂ, a drink made from sesame seeds.
